Effective date: July 21, 2026
FilmGauge is a measurement utility for industrial film rolls, created by Raya Labs. This policy describes what data the app handles. The short version: FilmGauge collects nothing.
FilmGauge does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party data-collecting SDKs. On Android, the app requests no permissions at all.
Everything you enter — saved rolls, custom film presets, calibration values, and settings — is stored locally on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes this data.
On iOS, custom film presets can sync between your devices through iCloud key-value storage. This storage belongs to your personal Apple account; the data travels only between Apple’s servers and your own devices. We have no access to it. You can disable it by turning off iCloud for FilmGauge in iOS Settings.
The photo-measure feature takes or selects a picture of a roll’s end face to estimate its outer diameter. The image is processed entirely on your device and the temporary capture file is deleted after processing. Images are never uploaded anywhere. On iOS, choosing an existing photo uses the system picker, which shares only the single image you select.
FilmGauge makes no network requests. Tapping an external link in the app (for example, a patent reference on the About screen) opens the page in your device’s browser, outside the app.
FilmGauge is a professional utility and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
If a future version of FilmGauge ever changes any of the above, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the effective date above will change.
